In secondary and high school, meanwhile, the Omni curricula prioritize academic achievement, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills along with key competencies for vocational and career progression. The integration of formal and informal learning opportunities are designed to give students more than just classroom knowledge, but also the tools to apply this knowledge in the real world. Critical thinking, interdisciplinary thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution are all part of the "big picture" of holistic education. Another innate attribute of the holistic approach? Each student's experience is tailored to meet his/her individual preferences and capabilities. Parents are also welcomed into the process; thanks to the Omni Child Learning Tracker web portal and the myOmni tablet app which helps them stay apprised of their child's progress throughout the comprehensive learning process, while also having the opportunity to interact online with Omni teachers, administrators, and students. Each of these components is recognized as a "best practice," when it comes to empowering today's students into tomorrow's leaders. Although, the Eleven Pearls are about far more than best practices. In fact, we find that the results of our Eleven Pearls methodology are much more than the sum of their parts. Students don't just learn to meet classroom challenges, but also to the challenges of life.
